An acquaintance of mine bought a restaurant in Airmont/Monsey on route 59 last February. It used to be a big biker bar The Roadhouse Grill. He and his partner have redone the kitchen and are trying to get a better reputation.

From May through October he runs "cruise" nights on Tuesdays, complete with trophies. He has the bikers vote for the best cars and the car owners vote for the best bikes. I think it would be a blast if, once he starts again in May that we have a whole bunch of Minis to compete.

If you're in the area before May and want to try some good food/pizza stop by. It's at the corner of College Road and Route 59. If you are from the Bergen/Rockland areas, his "bar pie" is just like Kinchleys' and his "regular" pie is just like the Pieman's in Valley Cottage; plus his burgers are pretty good too.

We'll try to plan some get togethers on the warmer months.

 

Hey, Im relatively new to the forums (haven't posted much) and I live in Rockland. I've always wanted to start or find some Mini owners to have gtg's. This sounds perfect! Even in with the cold I wouldn't mind hanging out with some other Mini owners, mall basement parking lot seems pretty warm if that could be an option.

 

The Roadhouse is a biker bar! It always has been, that is what makes it great. I'm not a biker, but I try to stop by once in awhile. Problem is I love the wings and burgers down at Sutters... Try to set something up

 

They're starting "cruiser nights" on April 15th. It would be real cool if some of the really modded MINIs would show up. Ours is fully stock,

 

If it's before the 18th I will make my way down.
