My free year of Sirius ended in June, and I did not opt to continue it. A few days ago I got an email from them offering 6 months for $15 and no activation fee, and I was actually considering doing it. Then, 2 days ago, I was flipping through the modes on my radio, and Sirius was on. I texted my wife to see if she saw the email and signed me up without me knowing. She said she hadn't. Will I get charged? Is it just a mistake? Should I say anything to them, or just hope they don't notice?

 

There is a free preview for inactive radios. It is from August 27th to Sept. 9, it only includes 60 channels.

they like to do teasers like that from time to time. i get still get letters in the mail about it myself even though i sold my have xm receiver years ago.

 

Call them.. I've never paid more than $25 for 6 mos.. Stay on the phone and beat them up.

 

Sirius activates deactivated radios occasionally typically with an offer to sign up again for a couple of weeks at time. Usually around holidays or change in seasons as a tease. If Siruis has your contact info for your radio they will email and snail mail you the offer. I just enjoy the free radio when it comes back on.
