Purchased Official MINI Garmin Holder.. A quick question

Not sure if anyone else has this (65902179767), but I recently purchased it and can not find any installation instructions for it.

I've found the R56 guide, but the Countryman model has an extra female USB port on the connecter and I can not figure out what it's for.

Could anyone give me some advice?

Thanks!

I've got the guide now, but can not find the 18 pin connector (x9002) they claim to disconnect from underneath the dash.

The pictures for the R60 manual are the exact same as the R56. Anyone know anything about the x9002 connector?

I have the Kuda mount for both of my BMW and I'm going to order one for my Clubman. The Kuda mount is very nice with perfect fit and looks like it is part of the car.

Sorry I don't have the answer to your question but are you happy with the mount? Does the steering wheel block it?

Thinking of getting the MINI GPS mount for our Garmin nuvi 2555. This unit is much larger than MINI 's garmin unit so I'm wondering if ours will even fit in the OEM mounting pod without bumping into or blocking the Tach pod.

Does the MINI mount include connections for power? Does it allow the garmin to swivel and spin?

PS: I checked with the dealer. They don't have one in stock to look at.

Hi, I hate to resurrect such an old thread, but I was think of buying the official mini mount and trying to install it myself. The dealer wants $371 to install. Do you still have the instructions? I have installed many things in previous cars, but without the instructions, I would have no idea if I am getting in over my head.

I was thinking of getting a garmin Nuvi 30. That looks like what is in you pics also. It is one of the few that have the smaller screen which will fit into the steering wheel area better.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Original Garmin MINI holder (for small 3.5" Display) with Garmin 3490. If you are using the new XXl MINI holder, a 4.2" display is not 100% visible.

Personally I like the Proclip mount. I have a 5" Garmin and you can see & reach it better. Also I use my Garmin for my Handsfree so the Proclip puts the mic closer . Its tucked in nice and tight above the Air vent . I also like the Proclip Phone mounts better than Kuda or others.

Thats also a ProClip mount. There are 3 mounts for ProClips in an R60...Left Pillar above the vent (bottom pic), top left corner of the speedo, and right side of the console just right of the CD player (top pic).
