Is it possible to have the RDS scroll across the screen?

In my other car, when listening to the radio the RDS automatically scrolls across the screen showing the station, artist and song title.

In my R60 I have to click on info to get to the data and then manually scroll through the list.

On the main screen I can see the station ID in the little display area. Is there anyway to get the RDS information to automatically scroll across the main screen without manually going through the sub-menus?

Noticed something interesting. If I turn off "HD", then the information in the little window scrolls, but if I activate HD, I have to click on the buttons to get the RDS information.

This is an OLD thread ... but ... I just took delivery of a 2013 R60 with Connect (no NAV) ... I see the same thing ... if I enable HD and the station broadcasts in HD ... even with RDS enabled I get no RDS info (title, artist..) but if I disable HD ... I get the RDS info showing the display. This seems very counter-intuitive ... I would expect a "digital signal" (HD) to carry MORE info not less ...

How do I see it?

OK, so in May 2013 I picked up a new Clubman. Coming from a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, I am used to seeing a whole bunch of information: Station Call Sign (which is all I get now), Genre of Station, Song Title/Artist, you-name-it...

I have the H-K Stereo. When I start the car with the radio on, it'll display the Genre of the station for about a jillionth of a second (Classic Rock, for instance) and then just goes to the Call Sign - either the call numbers such as 106.5 or the station (WRDU) but that's it.

When playing a CD - say, Abbey Road - the Sunfire would show me everything, but the MINI just shows me "Track 1".

Does anyone know how to make the RDS show more? I've practically memorized the owner's manual, thinking I've missed something, but no luck.

Any help would be most appreciated...
