Navigation & Audio Real-Time Traffic info on NAVI?

I'll have to wait and see, at least until Saturday. I do know that it is virtually useless in DC area. The nav in my Bimmer always reported traffic interruptions and marked the map with problem areas. Problem is; that's all we have here. 24/7/365 something is always screwing with traffic.

I get traffic as well in a text display. Also I'm disappointed that the nav system does not announce turn by turn street names, but I confess I haven't spent any time checking the manual on this. Further I notice that the voice navigation doesn't seem to be loud enough, and not nearly as communicative as fairly cheap portable units...

oh boy i hope it's a simple fix unlike my experience with my 08 MCS. in my case it never worked from the very beginning. long story short, the dealer had to get permission to tear into the car from mini. 1. they thought the computer wasn't programmed for navi (doesn't make sense since the navi worked without any issue). 2. they thought the antenna might be missing or connector damaged (doesn't make sense since the radio uses the same antenna connection as rtti) 3. the whole rtti module (not sure what that is) was simply missing and not installed from the factory. One they installed the rtti module everything worked fine.
iconoclast6: you can change the volume of the navigation easily. the easiest way is to simply increase or decrease the volume with the radio volume **** or the steering wheel mounted volume buttons while the navigation is making an announcement.
