Nuvi file server is "down"

Hello to all the MINI Icon fans out there..

Just an update on the server issue.. The link to the icon files works however, the download option is not working.. I don't have direct control over this or the server they are sitting on.. I have contacted the person that can help and they are looking into other options.. Sorry for the delay, but this is a "when I have time" project these day.. And with the holidays, there is not too much time..

Once there is a new location for the files, I will post up the new link to get to them..

I just got a nuvi 1350 for xmas, I'd love to get my hands on the

Dark Blue_Wtop_sroof_stripes.srf-zip.zip

not a perfect match for HB but it is close enough.

BB...try a site like DropBox (http://www.dropbox.com/).
Dropbox is one of the biggest - only problem with it is that anyone to whom you grant access can also UPLOAD, and I think could even overwrite.
There are lots of other sharing sites that are free.

Well sharing the link to the new location is proving to be difficult. I suggest a Google search using the following phrase "MINI srf files for garmin Nuvi BBCooper"

Sorry for the extra steps..

Good luck.

Can someone remind me where to put the SRF file on the Garmin?

I had it, then updated, and now the file still appears to be there, but I cannot find the MINI in the pictures for the vehicles....

I hope you saved a copy of the file... I keep the original one that I downloaded on my laptop for just this situation.

Every time I update my Garmin 255W, my MINI disappears. It's easy to fix - just delete your MINI .srf file from the Garmin and replace it (just copy and paste) with the original one you downloaded. That always restores my MINI to the "vehicles" menu so I can then select it.

Someone else may know a better way to keep the MINI from disappearing when you update your Garmin, but I haven't found it.

Once you've connected your Garmin to your computer, open the Removeable Drive "Garmin Nuvi" F: in my case, you should see a "Vehicle" folder, the SRF file should be copied into that. To select the SRF File to be your Vehicle Icon do the following...
Power on your Garmin, go to Settings, then Map in the Lower Left Corner you'll see Vehicle, to change Vehicle Icon tap this button and scroll the various already installed Icons, find the Icon you want Select that Icon and tap on Done...your chosen Vehicle Icon should then become your Vehicle Pointer.

Now if any one wants to View their Pixar Car you can PM me and I'll help you get that set up, or if you have questions on the above I can help there as well.

This is all true, but... whenever I update my Garmin from the Garmin website, my MINI vehicle pointer disappears and the default blue car reappears on the map instead. Going to the menu as described above to re-select the MINI doesn't help, as the MINI vehicle icon has also disappeared from the menu.

That's when I have to do the rather crude "cut -and-paste" procedure described in my prior post. When I have done that, the MINI reappears in the vehicle selection menu and I can then select it as my map pointer icon.

Even though it's an easy fix, I'd rather not have to do it after every update. Anyone know a better way?

Thanks, I was able to find one however, it has white stripes and I do not. Is there a way I can edit this? PS, I'm on a Mac.

Isaw your post on the Garmin Nuvi thread that said you had some BGR MINI Files for the Nuvi. Since they still don't have the website back up, is there any chance you have something close to a BRG MINI with White Roof, sunrrof, and White Hood Stripes?
I'd be very grateful,
