Navigation & Audio A different mp3 question
A different mp3 question
I've had my '06 MCS for 3 days now. This morning I popped in a cd burned with 158 mp3 files. The songs played fine, but the cd player (standard 'boost' headunit) did not display the song information, only the track number.
This same CD when played in my clarion proaudio aftermarket deck in my other car displays song title, album, folder, and track information as I select display options.
Can the stock headunit display track and or folder information? Do I need to do something differently with the disk when I create it?

No, the MINI HU is not ID3 tag compliant. If you use a DICE or Icelink plus to connect an Ipod, you can get tag information but this is done by tricking the radio into thinking there is a phone call. Lastly, if you have NAV, this option is totally out of the question as it will override your nav covering your map.
