what does 'TONE LIN' stand for?

just a curiosity... "tone lin" - what could that stand for? I think I know what it does - reset to factory nominal - just can't figure out the nomenclature...

any qualified guesses?

There are submenus under it, one to edit the speed sensitive volume and one to edit the NAV volume (if you're equiped with them). There is a seperate menu to reset the radio. For a more detailed explanation you should read your radio instruction manual.

never could get or find a manual for the Cassette Boost, though.
(car was delivered with the CD Boost manual and dealer said
they didn't have any cassette manuals.

update:
1. online manual only, 06 mcs does not include manual anymore

2. TONE LIN apparently stands for "tone linear"
