Would SIRIUS Add-on Box Work?

I have the latest Crutchfield and found the 'Add-on Radios' for Alpine, Clarion, ext. and GM radios.

My question is this, can I get these boxes for $100 instead of Mini Sirius box that is going for $230? I want to get the OEM ant and I understand it uses the old two plug cable but they have adapters for that fix. I would also get the Mini install kit if need be. But the real meat of this option is the Sirius box.

I will call Crutchfield in the morning but if anyone has tried this or even knows if this would work please let me know if I am on the right track.

Thanks.

I found out the answer to my question......it would not work with the stock radio.

But I did find out they would charge me $70 bucks to install (non-Mini Location). It sure beats $800.00.
