Hey Guys,

I hope all is well! I as you know started the "ARE YOU INTERESTED" post and need some advice. Currently it's been 1 1/2 days my Cooper has been at Tweeter having a full car audio install. The sales guy Ron Doyle recommends I have a 0.5 Farad capacitor installed. The installation consist of a 3 channel XTANT 603x amp running the following:

2 channels @ 75W running a set of MB Quart Qs
1 Channel @ 150W running a JL Stealth Box (JL W3 V2 10" sub)

There are two passive channels on the amp @ 75W running a set of MB Quart PSD components in the rear for fill.

So what do you guys think? Do I need a cap? Has anyone done a system in the Cooper S and had a problem with lights dimming and electrical problems? Any info would help! Thank you!

the power supply capacitor is a good idea; it'll keep your battery from being taxed too hard on current transients

I'd go for it, especially with such a good amp and sub combo. You'll want max power. I'm running a 0.5f capacitor myself for my 300watt sealed 10" custom enclosure.
