This is the Blitzsafe adaptor. It requires (I think) that you plug it in in the back of the mini to the CD Changer connections. Then if you wanted an aux input in the front (an mp3 player etc) you'd have to run a wire back up to the front, as well as get an adaptor to convert the RCA connections to a minijack connection. A lot of mucking about.
I'm waiting for the adaptor from Mini, now long long overdue. See the forums on miniusa owner's lounge.
PS: FM Transmitters are horrible in quality, at best only a temporary solution.

An FM transmitter will work fine if sound quality is not important to you. But a digital music source, even MP3, has far superior sound quality to FM broadcasts; more bass, more highs, less distortion and noise. The same song sounds much better on a CD than when you hear it played on the radio right?
When you listen to the MP3 through the FM transmitter, the signal quality gets reduced to that of an FM broadcast. Since the signal comes from within your car, it will be as good as a very strong FM station, but no better.
A direct low-level connection will give much cleaner results from sonic standpoint (although not as easy an install). Either the Blitzsafe product through the MINIs CD changer hook-ups or the pending factory adapter will provide this kind of connection. The factory option, if it ever arrives, should be a very easy install as I believe it plugs into the back of the stereo in the dash and runs into the glovebox.
Cheers and good luck,
James
