Ground Loop Isolator Install??

I use the 1/8"-jack adapter for use with the AUX port , but Don't I have to purchase another 1/8 also in addition to it? I'm trying to picture this in my head...

I posted on the previous thread that you referenced as well:

I don't understand. Ground loop isolators are usually used for noise problems. I would think it is turning off because of a connection to the cigarette plug in. Did you replace your radio or have the console out at any time?
