hi all... new to the Mini scene, fresh out of my VW 20AE Gti 1.8t, and i have picked up a lightly used 05 MC CVT....

i wired up one of those Metra plugs to replace my factory radio with the Alpine CDA7678 from previous cars, but i get no sound out of the front speakers, no matter which wires i connect to it.

i tried swapping them around, to make sure it wasnt a problem with the radio, but nothing doing... still just the rears work. anyone have that happen to them? its the same connector from my VW. i think it has what you call the "Boost" cd radio? no HK....
