Sub or not to sub....

OK....I have 2 10" subs that I took out of my truck, and thinking that there might be a good place somewhere to install them in my 04 MCS.....I have a nice sony amp, as well, and just wondering what anyone else thought, using the facory HU (not H/K).

Any suggestions would be helpful for those of you who have already gone through this.

TIA!

Any sub with the factory HU is an improvement IMO. I ran a 12" eclipse on 200w for about a year. I have since replaced the complete system. But during that time I was pleased. Moderate power is all you'd need to balance with the OEM system.

I have a used PAC-2 now gathering dust.

Thanks, I found a local shop who will help with the install....I think a single 10" ought to be fine....Do you think 2 10" subs would be overkill.....I do tend to get loud sometimes....all kinds of music.....

Still going to stay with the facotry HU, but add an amp as well.

I have a single 10" sub in my car and it rattles the doors nicely I'd think that two subs might be a little overwhelming in a small car like the Mini.

My single bumps amazingly well. My buddy has two in his jetta, and i think that because of the basic size of my car and my amp choice, mine is a bit louder than his

Thanks for all the responses, it is nice to see and hear all your opinions.

I will eventually get to it (probably sooner rather than later).

Just got the windows tinted, and now it is time to do the stereo.....I don't think I'll be needing anything else after that...
