Bluetooth in MINI with Nextel/Blackberry 7520

Does anyone have experience using the 7520? If so, have you used the blue tooth in your MINI? I don't have the factory kit, but it's my impression that I could forfeit the MFSW button functionality and still use blue tooth connection for headset. Is that so? Any other thoughts on the phone?

I have a 7520 and love it. It is one of those things that just "works" and is easy to use. I too have thought about adding one of the after market kits from http://www.newministuff.com but have not yet.

If you add one, let me know how it works out.

New Spoke MFSW switch assembly

you can buy a replacement left spoke switch assembly that has the up/down, next/previous, and two bluetooth buttons - also comes with the silver gray cover plate for under $100 from Classic Mini with the NAM discount.

Don't know for sure if any programming is required or if you need the jan 05 build wire harness.

(Eventually I am going to try to do this)

I have one too. Decent piece of gear but good god Nextel SUCKS SO BAD. I guess I've been spoiled with Verizon and T-Mobile but even after reading about abysmal performance I'd never have expected the level of COMPLETE SUCKAGE with their coverage. 25% of the time I get system busy. 25% of the time I make a call and the other party can't hear me but I can hear them. CRAP CRAP CRAP.

</rant>

As for integrating it into the Mini - no idea,but I might have to do so for work. :-/
