Does XM direct connect antenna placement cause leaks?

I just did the XM direct connect. Its great cost $170.00 for the blitzsafe adapter and xm universal tuner at Audio Warehouse. One question though, I ran the wire for the antenna through the rubber thingy at the top of the hatch and down the c-pillar into compartment where connection is made. Is the seal on the rubber piece where the antenna comes through affected. Will the wire sticking out cause water leaks???

run it out the bottom of the tube, water cant sit on the bottom of the rubber, it will just drip off!

Thanks, I originally had it out the top. Just changed it to the bottom, glad I asked

I have my antenna directly behind the factory am/fm job and i've had no leaks. the xm antennna wire is so small that i think the rubber seal just compresses around it easily. looks good and it funKtions well. :-) no leaks as yet.

Here is where I mounted the XM antenna. The wire tucks under the rubber at the covertible room seal. There has been no problems yet with rain getting in.

Hope this helps. - Fred
