$170.00 for Blitzsafe adapter and Universal Tuner.

I called Blitzsafe and was quoted $180.00 for the blitzsafe sld01 adapter. I checked on-line and got a brand new Blitzsafe adapter for $118.00 and the XM universal Tuner for $50.00 at Audio Warehouse. Why is Blitzsafe charging $180.00 for just the adapter?? You would think that they would be cheaper?? Come on Mark, what's up with that? I was able to purchase the adapter and the tuner w/antenna all brand new, for less than u are charging for the adapter alone. Even with the discount Blitzsafe price is a rip-off

First off, the MSRP on the product is set at $220.00. We are the manufacturer so we can not low ball our dealers by selling the part super low. Where did you purchase your kit from? I could not find the place you listed as one of our authorized dealers.

When I called you a while back you quoted me $180.00 for the adapter. The price must have went up?? I got the sld01 adapter for $118.00. Thats right, $118.00. So what you are saying is that you were going to charge me $102.00 more Heck, I almost could have bought two for the price of one that you charge. The place is Audio Warehouse in Paramus, NJ. Located on Rte 17 N. Its a small place off the highway, prior to Garden State Plaza on the Northbound side. information has the tele number I can get you the exact address.

Blitzsafe adaptor

Fidge, How does the adaptor hook up. I have an 06 Cooper S. On my other mini, that I traded, I had the Roady II in it but it was not direct. I was going to install it into the new cooper, but this direct thing seems much better. Can you give me some details about this adaptor?

Al, it is really easy. There is a panel in the boot on the passenger side. Remove the panel and you will find the wires ready to go. Remove the tape on the wires and plug the blitzsafe adapter in and youy are ready to go. I ran the antena wire through the gromit for the third brake light. Just make sure you run the wire in from the bottom of the rubber gromit. If you run it through the top rainb water will get in. I have had no problem what so ever running the wire through the bottom. You then have to push the wire to the right rear pillar and the wire will run right down the pillar into the compartment in the boot. You cant even tell the wire is there. The magnet antena attaches to the roof right behind the normal radio antenna. You can place it so that the boot can still be opened and will not interfere. Also you can pull the rubber seal off around the top of the boot so that you can make it easier to run the wire down the pillar. There is a thread here somewhere with pictures of the install. It really is a snap and the xm plays right through the readio, steering controls still work and everything its fantastic. Hope this helps.
