Blitzsafe's new M-Link 1 for your iPod!!!

Blitzsafe has just introduced the new M-Link 1 interface for all 3rd and 4th generation Ipods. This interface allows for a direct audio input plus charging. The charging circuit goes one step further then any of the competition, and chargs the Ipod for a full 20 mins after the vehicle is shut down. These interfaces are not included in our NAM group buy. The price for the interfaces for all vehicles are $89.00!!!! Any vehicle we offer an aux. interface for, we will offer the M-Link interfaces for. Anyone interested in purchasing one and is a NAM member, will receive free DHL ground shipping. I may implement an upgrade program for anyone who is using our BMW/AUX interface. I will know in a few days whether I will offer that or not. The part number for the interface is BMW/M-LINK 1.

The M-Link 1 works with or without our XM/SLD 01.

Sounds like this an alternative to the Ice Link? Any kind of ID3 tagging on the HU or the like?

There is no display on the headunit. You still need to control the Ipod manually. This is basically an audio input plus charging. The advantage of using this part is that you do not have a connector plugged into the top and the bottom. Also, we found that no matter what we did, there is no way to scroll as fast as the wheel. If you have 8,000 songs, do you know how long to scroll using a track up, track up proccess? Our M-link 2 will offer nominal control of the Ipod, track up/down, play, stop, pause, etc. That is due to be released the middle of June.

Questions

Will this connect an ipod Nano or Mini directly into the back of the standard Mini Cooper stereo head unit with the highest possible sound quality (not using the headphone jack)? Is this the only piece needed or are there other parts needed?

Do you have anything for connecting the ipod Shuffle?

Also, has the M-link 2 come out or when is it due out and at what price?
