Navigation & Audio SONY PSP, have anyone got it yet?
Jagged edges are a result of the hi res screen. If you look at PS2 games on lcd screens at gaming kiosks, they always look super jagged, whereas on a low res tv it's there but not as noticeable. Only ***** in Sony's armor is that lack of hardware anti-aliasing, but going by the numbers, it doesn't seem to hurt.
American PSPs are region 1 encoded only for movies. There is no region encoding for games, so import them from Japan at your leisure. Only drawback is you can't play with anyone else in multiplayer unless they also have a Japanese copy. There may be some games in the future where this isn't as much of a problem.
Pezboy, that's some expensive accessories! Gotta love those sharp eyes at best buy. I remember seeing a joystick there priced at $399.99 rather than $39.99. btw, if you want to play with the computers there instead of watching that stupid "demo" video, find the numbers in one corner of the screen and double click or double right click them. Presto, demo minimizes. Just bring it back up when you're done.
mdsbrain, consoles haven't come with free "extras" for quite some time. The last system I got that came with any extras was my NES. It sucks, but they are getting more and more powerful and costing more money to produce than they sell for. I doubt an Xbox cost Microsoft less than $200 to produce back in 2001 when they were released. I guess that "value pack" is sony's way of trying to absorb a little bit more of that cost. I dunno, they're being kinda weird about this launch.

Interesting input. I'm just happy with it so far. This afternoon I hooked up with another guy and played him wirelessly on Need for Speed. Now that was cool and the hook-up was pretty quick.

But I can see that being more of a distraction then my cell phone.
But I will have a parcel shelf soon so I could just pull it to and fro from that.
I have thought about mounting it right on the dash near the passenger side to the right of the speedo/chrono package. the only way i can find to mount it is either use two strips of velcro or lots of industrial double sided tape.

I'm waiting for a write up on it so I can use my psp while sitting on my butt in my house.
