Where to buy GPS receiver for TomTom

I know this is a bit off topic, but...

We need to take our other car on a trip and my TomTom wired GPS Receiver is semi-permanently installed in the Mini. I'd like to purchase another wired GPS receiver to use in the other car, but I can't find one online (other than an entire additional TomTom kit). Any ideas where to purchase one (preferably a cheap one)?

Can you give us some more information? Are you running TomTom on a PDA or is the standalone unit?

Depending on your answer to Mike's question, GPS receivers can be found on Ebay, at least 30 to 40 percent less than retail. You might also check on www.expansys.com as they sell alot of Tom Tom products. If any serial gps unit works, (ie Tom Tom can use NMEA output, which is a navigation standard) consider a Garmin Etrex or Gecko, they are small, cheap (as low as $10 used) and it's easy to find mounting brackets for them. Shopping.yahoo.com is also a good place to buy new units at a big discount.

I am using the GPS receiver with a Dell Axim PDA and their car kit. The GPS receiver has an RJ-11 jack (aka standard phone jack) that connects to the PDA sleve. TomTom wants $100 for one and that seems quite steep.

This one's $90 http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductD...=GRW300%2DRJ11

I have one of their powered PDA mounts and love it.
