OEM SIRIUS in my 05 MCS

I finally got my factory MINI Sirius tuner installed with the proper antenna in my 2005 MCS and it is working as advertised. I enjoyed Sirius in my 03 and I'm happy that MINI has finally worked out whatever problems they were having so that I could get this installed. I bought the receiver, install kit and extra connecting wire for the H/K system from Classic in Ohio for $273.00 including shipping and got the antenna from my local shop for $90.00. The other dealer in town charged me two hours labor (my dealer wanted 3 1/2). The total for the parts and install is $563.00. I bit steep, but worth it to me to keep everything stock.

I'll see if I can't dig out my digital camera and take a picture. It looks to be identical to the previous Sirius antenna which is only slightly bigger than the stock antenna and a gloss black plastic vs the matt finish on the standard antenna. It is simply a little more bulbous.

Sounds good. I have an XM unit that came with a tiny magnetic antenna, and I am trying to find some way of housing it. I'm hoping that I can jsut take it out of its case and put it inside the Serius Antenna housing.
