Good afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone happened to be as crazy as I am. I've noticed that the new F60 and F54 models have a shark fin antenna (65208782598).
From the research I've done, it appears to be the exact same size base as what is on the F55, F56, and F57 models. Has anyone installed one on a F55, F56, or F57 before?
The only difference that I've noticed from pictures is that the current antenna on the F55, F56, and F57 have up to 4 connectors (depending on how your vehicle is equipped) and the shark fin antenna only appears to have 3 connectors (at least from the pictures I've seen).

I have not. I did not know if there was any difference in terms of what is built into the antenna and what the vehicle needs.

I know the description on what the antenna is for is different between the two models (F55/6 and F54/60) but again, unsure if that is the only difference

I know this is an older post but I think I can help out. The regular antenna and the shark fin antenna are interchangeable in regards to mounting, however the shark fin does not have the plug for the am/fm antenna. I was going to swap one on my wife's 2015 F56 and that necessitated I install a similar style of antenna base over the shark fin.
