The title says it all. I got everything plugged in and it seems the android unit does not display any of the warning lights, gas gauge or cruise control lights. The tachometer has turned blue instead of orange. There is no backlight and so I can't see at night. What did I do wrong?
My only thought is that this unit said it was for a 2011 and mine is a 2008. Is there any wiring in the harness that's different? I got the 2011 unit because I've swapped all of my HVAC controls to the 2011 black and needed the control unit to match.
Following up as I pulled everything apart again. I found the cable that needs to be plugged in but I don't see a spot for it on the new unit. Am I just SOL?
6 pin cable plugs into the back of the speedometer The location the cable plugs into the original unit The only cable left in the new harness that wasn't plugged in. All the labels are in Chinese but my text translator says it's for newer minis.
I'm dumb and just did not try all orientations of that cable into the connector. For anyone that comes across this in the future, the "LIN" cable does need to be connected to get these gauges. I'm attaching a photo that shows what connections are used in that cable to the head unit.
