NAV Update - R50 w/MK4 DVD - Assistance
All, I'm attempting to update the NAV firmware in my 2004 (build date April/04) R50 Non-S with the Mk IV DVD unit (factory equipped). Currently at version 4/20. I have burned several CD-R with both 4/23 and 4/32 versions using both .iso and .cue files. Followed instructions for installation including keeping drivers' door open, key in correct position, ejecting the map disc after the splash screen on the NAV. Each time I insert a CD-R of any kind, I get a message stating "incorrect CD/DVD entered" and the unit ejects the disc. I still have the disclaimer screen and am looking to have it removed or automatically goes away as it is supposed to do in the later versions.
When I burned the V23 CD it included both a .bin and .toc file that were in the zipped file download. Should the burned CD have ONLY the .cue file onboard?
For the V32, will the DVD unit read the single .iso file as written?
I used Nero to burn the discs, which may be part of the issue as I've researched in other threads. I'd welcome any advice or instruction on the installation.
Thanks in advance.
