3rd Gen Nav system retrofit into 2nd Gen???

Hi fellow MINI owners...
Has anyone looked into or done a retrofit of the NBT system from the 3rg gen minis into a 2nd gen mini?
BMW owners seem to do this a lot! would be great if we MINI owners could do the same
