Aftermarket with HK in R 53

Who has an aftermarket head unit with the HK system in their R53? I'm looking for some resources to figure this out. I purchased a head unit from Crutchfield along with the AXXESS AX-BM9112 with the steering wheel interface, but I'm having problems. The radio turns on, but no sound, not even static when volume is raised so I don't think the HK amp is turning on. There isn't much to the wiring so I'm confident it's wired per instructions. There is a button switch that is wired into the axxess harness that I have no idea what it's for. I looked around youtube for some tutorial videos, but no luck.

I think you need to buy a HK Enabler from the UK ...

Yeah, I seen that before I ordered, but I seen the AXXESS harness for the HK so I ordered it with the radio thinking if they offer it, it must work. Does anyone have experience with the AXXESS? I'd like to see if it just doesn't work or there is something I need to do to make it work before I give up and send it back to Crutchfield.

Ok I have the radio working now, but not the steering controls. The problem with the radio was I needed to connect the power antenna wire to turn on the amp. There are no instructions to do so and I didn't think about it because, well we don't have power antennas. I just tried it out of, what the heck, it doesn't hurt to try scenario, and it did the trick.

Now, does anyone know how to reset the steering wheel control module so I can attempt to re-learn it?

What happened when you did the programming instructions for Axxess?

It went through some LED sequence and then turned solid red. I reset it a few times and tried different ways per Crutchfield. As long as the radio works I’m fine, but it would be nice to get the steering wheel working. When I get a day off during the week I’ll call them because their tech support is closed by time I get home from work.
the only part that’s weird about the harness is the push button for going through the HK EQ settings.

On the ASWC-1, Push the reset button and hold for a few seconds until it flashes rapidly. It will auto learn. Sometimes you have to do nothing, sometimes you have to keep tapping volume up, or hold volume up, both of the latter you stop pushing when it stops flashing rapidly. After it’s done learning, it will do random red and green flashes to show that it learned both the radio and the car. If it doesn’t work one of those 3 ways, reset and try the next one.

I give up, nothing works. I'm just happy the radio works with the HK and the back up camera works with head unit.
