Navigation & Audio "No Disc" Readout on the radio face....HELP

"No Disc" readout on the radio face....HELP
I have an "04 R53 MCS with the stock head unit and factory 6 disc changer in the rear boot.
I get a "NO DISC" readout on the radio display when I switch to play the 6 disc changer, I have CD's in all 6 slots, and I can eject the magazine without problems......the CD player in the radio head plays just fine....so I'm calling the 6 disc changer dead for now
thoughts?
