I want to replace the factory head unit with a Sony. I have read a number of FIY instruction and they all show the need of using a facia adapter plate. I have installed head units in many of my vehicles and never need this because most units now are DIN.

Will I need a facia adapter plate? If so where can I get one without paying an arm and a leg?

Try www.newministuff.com. I got a Sony unit and got the MFSW adapter from Mikey - a very nice plug n' play unit that works like a charm. Besides these adapters, they carry HU adapters and a whole lot of nice stuff for many brands of aftermarket HUs. Good luck!
