Don't let that discourage you though, my guess is that there will be a way to get it to work, similar to how you can wire the aux input and CD changer inputs into the same connection.

Isn't this is a bit of a myth? It depends which has the better D/A converter - the ipod or the HU, and I would think that the ipod is pretty ept at this sort of thing.
