Navigation & AudioBring your GPS and favorite CD or MP3. This is where navigation and audio options for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.
I replace my complete HK system on my 04 JCW. I went with JBL Club Speakers all around (3412T Tweeter, 522F 5.25" and rear 9632 6x9s) as well as a JBL 8 channel DSP 4086 Amp. I completed the system with a Kenwood Media Player KMM-BT732HD. It all cost less than $651. These are ALL 2Ω and the Amp is similar size as the HK Amp and fits nicely in the same location. The thing I like about JBL is it is actually owned by HARMAN...same company. I added USB port to the panel that the Amp is in for future programming and ran a USB from the back of the Media Player to the glove box.
Has ALEXA and Phone capabilities as well as AUX and USB in front. Sounds amazing and NO speaker wiring had to be changed. Discovered that I had 2 bad original HK speakers as well. Was tired of taking chances on ~20yr old Amps and hoping they'd last. Original lasted 17 years, 2nd one 1.5 years and 3rd less than 6 months. I just know it now sounds amazing!
Do any of you have a pic of your new wire run to the front door? I have two sets of the same color wire running out of it for both the tweeter and the woofer. I decided to just say F it and run a new wire and it's driving me crazy there's no pictures of a new wire run into the door through the grommet or how to splice the two wires together.

Can you send me you're mini presets for the JBL 8-kanaals DSP 4086 Amp??😅
I see you used the original H/K amplifier bracket, does it fit directly?
I have the same amplifier to use install, my car didn't come with H/K system but it that fits fine it is more practical then fabricating something.
Thanks

So I’m trying to help my son replace his Harmon Kardon speakers since 3 of the 4 now sound distorted after 17 years. Went with the Polk Audio DB 692 for the rears but found out when I removed the OEM rear that they are dual voice coil and 2 sets of wires coming from the amp. The Polk’s only have 1 set of posts so I’m not sure if I can run the + wires from each set and the - wires from each set and attach them to the posts on the Polk or as some have suggested only using 1 set of wires but if I go this route which set should I use? The front speakers were rather easy to replace despite having to cut the connectors and using butt splices for the new speakers but I’m confused on the rears. I really don’t want to run new wires from the aftermarket head if I don’t have to.
here's my question why two connectors on this woofer speaker?
