Navigation & Audio USB/AUX Bluetooth adapter.
USB/AUX Bluetooth adapter.
Wondering if anyone makes a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the USB/AUX so I can listen to music on iPhone 6 through blue tooth and control from steering wheel. Have adapter that plugs in but adapter doesn't fit in the new life proof cases. So looking for alternative so I don't have to remove phone from case every time I get I he car.
Have a 2012 JCW Coupe. Hope this is the right forum for this question.
Thank you
Rob

Not the adapter ones. Not in the iPhone 6. Obviously the charging cable fits. But haven't found an adapter one that fits. USB/AUX that came with car was for iPhone 4. So adapters iPhone 4 female to iPhone 5/6 male which I have. It is too big.
I have the 1000. I'm selling because I traded my Countryman for a newer one that has the connected package and no longer needed. BMW/MINI has a medit cable available for iPhone 5/6. Why that one doesn't come standard with the car instead of the 30-pin is beyond me. I'm selling my WMA1000 for $50. I believe the lightning media cable from BMW/MINI is about $80.
So the 1000 plugs in and then phone music and such are full Bluetooth and controllable from radio and steering? That's how I'm reading the product. If you would recommend it and it works well. And will let it go for $50 shipped. I'll take it.

Oh, you don't have a USB port that does audio?
They do have a Lightning to 30-pin cable.

You are correct. You can change tracks and what not from the radio. As far as what apps you want to play from has to be done from the phone. I loved it using to control my android phone, being that yours is an iPhone, you will have a little more features. I'm willing to do $50 shipped. Just PM if you want it and I will give you payment details.
I think there might be some confusion in this thread.
If you connect your phone to your MINI via USB (any phone, any type of cable that plugs into USB), then you can play music from your phone, and use your steering wheel controls to change tracks and browse music on your device.
If you connect your phone (or any other audio device) to your MINI using only the AUX input (looks like a headphone jack), then you can listen to your audio, but you cannot use the steering wheel controls (except volume).
If your MINI has MINI Connected, and you connect your phone to your MINI using bluetooth, then you can use the full set of steering wheel controls (audio and voice call) to control both music and phone calls.
If your MINI doesn't have MINI Connected (e.g., standard audio), then you can connect your phone to your MINI using bluetooth, and use the steering wheel controls for voice calls, but you can't listen to or control music via steering wheel controls.
There are various bluetooth-aux adapters that you can use to allow your non-Connected MINI to playback bluetooth audio through your MINI sound system. These adapters utilize the A2DP protocol to connect your phone to a bluetooth receiver, and then the bluetooth receiver connects to your sound system using AUX.
Depending on the exact capabilities of your phone and the bluetooth-aux adapter, you may be able to simultaneously connect your phone directly to your MINI for voice call functionality and also to the adapter for A2DP music playback via aux. I've been doing this with the , paired to my Lumia 925.
