Got a 05 R53 it has the black speaker cover by sunroof switch which should mean its has the speaker there but no cell phone hook up in center console. There is buttons on steering wheel. What would I need to do to hook up Bluetooth to use phone in it?

 

Yep, thats just a dummy mic cover and dummy buttons on the wheel, but can be used. If you press the button top and bottom ( and you don't here a beep or the radio cut out ) and nothing happens most likely you don't have factory Bluetooth.

you can easily pull the trim off and see if the speaker is actually there, it is a dummy spot

 

Yes, not too many MINI have this kit, if you have it, its very rare. It was a big dollar item back in the day.
