iPod adapter?

Hi all, my name is Jacob and this is my first post, so I'm sorry if I'm doing anything wrong.

I got my mini a couple of months ago and it has the iPod cable running into the glove box and I'm not 100% sure how it works, if the iPod/iPhone activates something in the stereo or not. But I was looking at one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00545WG4O/ref=s9_simh_gw_d5_g422_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf _rd_s=mobile-1&pf_rd_r=04N9JFHDASDGTKR5JAFY&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd _p=2068141862&pf_rd_i=mobile

And I was wondering if this would work with the iPod adapter. Thanks in advance!

I think it should if you have an aux input in the car. You dint mention what year your car is, but I know mine has the aux input and it works well with iphones, pods, mp3. Hey is your brother Robert?

Sorry, it is a 2005 and it doesn't have the aux input, only the iPod interface. And unfortunately no, Robert is not my brother :(

"Does NOT work on factory installed ipod cables (VW, Audi, MB, BMW, Nissan, Infi, Ford, etc)"

I'd suggest the MediaBridge Multimedia Integration Kit or the Silverline Duo IPod Integration Kit. If your car was built after September, you get Text Display
for song title, album and artist name on the head unit's screen. The main difference between the 2 is bluetooth phone capability for the former.
