Need help dealer never seen this problem before

I have posted about this before so it may sound familiar. I have the HK system and I was having problems with no sound which I found out is very commom. They have replaced the radio once and the amplifier twice. Well I still will get in the car and have no sound or be driving down the road and the sound will just quit. I took my car in Friday and talked to the service tech that was going to be working on my car. Told him there was no pattern the radio was still on, you could here the CD spin but nothing. I thought it was a loose connection but ruled that out when it wasn't playing in my drive and I was not moving and it started playing before I even moved. Well they kept my car from 8:15 until 5:30 and the service tech has no clue. He even called New Jeresy with no luck from them. He was very discouraged well so was I. If anyone has had a problem like this please let me know. I am about to pull my hair out. the service man is supposed to get back to me on Monday or Tuesday. He is going to call someone at Mini USA and get the OK to give me a rental car for as long as I need one, so that he can keep my car and drive it every day until the radio quits and he can find the problem. He thinks that another computer signal is interfering with the signal from the radio to the amplifier. Please someone help.

You can definitely ask your dealer to call MINIUSA for help. If they don't you can call them yourself. If you don't get satisfaction then you can evoke the lemon law and replace the MINI.

Is anything else electrical going bad intermittently?
Bad wiring harness? Shorted wire?
Any mods added to your electrical system at all?
DIY or white tail light mod?
Aftermarket alarm system?
Ignition upgrades like M7 Plasma booster?

We've had the same problem... But very intermittantly. It hasn't happened in a few weeks. The car goes in for service in about a week and we were planning on having MINI of Sterling take a look at it...

FYI it's a Jan 2003 build MC with HK and Nav.

I have nothing after market on my car. No nothing else that I know of has failed electronically. The service man is supposed to call Mini today. I am waiting to here from him.
