Very Poor FM & AM Reception

On my 2009 Cooper S with the standard sound system with Bluetooth and Aux Input. Bluetooth, aux input, and the CD player function properly. It has started to have very poor or static reception for both FM & AM. I have had a Cravenspeed shortie antenna installed for over 2 years. I swapped out with a OEM shortie and even tried a stock whip antenna but still having the same problem. The only time a radio station comes in is if I'm near the broadcasting tower. This all started when I was using my ELM 327 Wifi OBDII scanner with my iPhone5.

Any ideas? It's very annoying. I don't usually listen to the radio but when using the Wifi OBDII scanner I am unable to stream Pandora.

Check to make sure you are getting power to the antenna diversity module.

I'm about to remove the boot lid interior panel to check the cables. Did not think of testing the power while I'm there.

Also, When you remove the antenna diversity, verify no water ingress into the module itself. I have seen situations where no water or corrosion was found at the connections, but inside the antenna module itself was corroded.
