OEM Navi

I have an '06 MCS Convertable that has the tach and speedo on the steering column. The car did not come stock with navigation. I have found many of them on ebay but wonder, would this be a "plug and play" type job? I know I would need to get the navi antenna as well. The navis listed on ebay are listed as w/on board computer and w/o on board computer. I'm assuming that this is the same on board computer that I access via the turn signal button but I'm really not sure. I don't know which one is right for my situation. I would REALLY love the clean look of the OEM navi on my car.

Thanks in advance.

I was kind of in the same boat looking for a better option. The oem Mini nav is meh. The iPad mini verizon or AT&T version, download the garmin n American GPS and it is light years better.

I upgraded my car to the connected system but didn't pick the nav system.

Just food for thought

All of the members will help you if you try to put the nav system, but the work isn't always worth the reward.

I've been quite pleased with the built in oem nav system. 95% of the time it has been perfect. Once you are acclimated with the Mini joystick input system, you'll be pleased with the unit.

The OP has a 2006, and posted in the wrong forum. The Nav for his car (I have it in my 2006 R52) is the same system that was introduced in 2002 (with very minor updates). Ancient technology with primitive interface, and no integration with the stereo or anything else in the car.
