Audio upgrade all Alpine Review
So I installed the Alpine Retrofit Upgrade, along with a pair of Alpine SPR-69 Coaxials in the rear.
Kit was $465 shipped Mini of South Atlanta, and Coaxials were $100 walk in pay cash at Pacific Stereo!!
Found some Beige Harmon-Kardon A-Pillars on eBay from, a 2013 wreck (no tweeters) $80
First, I don't understand the mediocre reviews on this upgrade.
The fidelity, is pretty good, volume can go pretty high without breaking up.
Its a car, and Im not going for loudness competition.
The rear Alpines aren't amplified, but it creates a nice fill with the Fader at +2 to the front. You don't go to a concert to hear the music from the back do you??
If I want 120dB loud, I go to my recording studio, crank the JBLs crank up some Motorhead, and make my ears bleed.
Not while Im driving!
They are well balanced enough to not need a subwoofer. Adding a sub will just make it bottom heavy.
I listen to 70s 80s rock, not hip hop, so these ultra ultra low frequencies aren't needed.
I dont regret the investment.
Time for some Chili Red Mirror covers!!!!
