The headunit does not like to have no load, and the resistance of the input stage of an aftermarket amplifier is so high (10-20k ohms) that it presents essentially no load to the headunit. Without it, the headunit will often go into overvoltage protection as the voltage spikes at higher volume.

It's awesome that you have decided to sell this. My budget, sadly, doesn't stretch to your full system, but this part should save a lot of headache as I put together my not-so-fancy system this month.
Happy to help! Was worried about doing this at first, but it's been going well enough that we may actually move them to the Integral Audio website and offer a little more support.

Low level, actually, with this harness. The signal on the RCA's will be about 4V max.

Most interesting.

I hope you do so; at a minimum I hope you keep selling through Amazon. I suspect there is a market for selling this on the side to not only to people who can't afford the full-out IA system (like me), but perhaps also to folks that build those insane $5000+ systems.

Nice! In doing my homework, I noted that the amp I'm using accepts input at low-level of 200mV–4V, and high-level of 2–10V. You can see the potential for confusion, eh? So I figured better to ask…

The reason I'm so happy it's a low-level input is because in the future, I can pass the low-level signal back out of the amp and along to a dedicated amp/sub. But that's a next-year project, not a this year project.

And as I've been doing my shopping, it's really been making clear what a bargain the IA system is. Pricing out decent quality 4ga power wire, good component speakers, a solid amp, and such is an eye-opener. Next MINI I buy, I'm going to just set aside money up front to order the IA system.

Anyway, thanks for the answers!

If the RCA outputs are line level, but the head outputs speaker level, are you stepping it down in the harness??

Just want to know in case I use one, that I can include this in any diagnostic issue. (Bad resistor etc)

DISREGARD< I MISSED THAT POST EXPAINING EARLIER!!!

Is this still available?
The link provided points to one that just shows currently unavailable. The picture is also different than the one shown on your OP.

They come in and out of stock. I'm glad I got one.
Makes for a clean and easier install.

You understand that this loom is to ADD speakers, as in a subwoofer, right?

From the documentation:

This harness can be used to:
-Install a Subwoofer (All factory systems)
-Install an Amp for Front Speakers (All factory systems)
-Install an Amp for Front Speakers while reusing the factory speaker wire (6 speaker equipped vehicles ONLY)

I'm doing #2.

I see 4 RCAs, those will go to your amp.
How does the amp return to the speakers?

This harness looks like a tap only.

More from the documentation:

To Install a subwoofer only:
Use one pair of the RCAs to feed your new subwoof- er amplifier. Leave the rest of the harness intact - it will pass the signal to your existing front speakers or factory amplifier.

To Install an amp for front speakers:

6 SPEAKER VEHICLES: Cut the red/black front speaker wires near the “FROM HEADUNIT” side of the harness. Cap the wires on the “FROM HEAD- UNIT” side. Strip the speaker wires wires on the “TO FACTORY SPEAKERS” side and splice the output from your amplifier

10 SPEAKER VEHICLES: Cut the red/black front speaker wires near the “FROM HEADUNIT” side of the harness. Cap the wires on the BOTH sides. You will need to run new speaker wire to your front speakers or locate the HIFI/HK wiring at the factory amplifier and splice into the factory wiring there.

Consult the MINI WDS (online or at your local service department) for your vehicle for amplifier location and wiring information.

(I'm not reusing the factory speaker wire. So I'm a hybrid of 6/10 instructions.)

Hope this helps.

Those RCA pairs are both going to the same connection?
Meaning they are piggybacked.

I think his photo is a little deceiving. Take a look at the first photo of the post and you'll see they aren't piggybacked.

I made one of these back when I had my 08' Clubman. It really isn't too difficult to make and parts are readily available. If this existed when I did my install years ago, I might have pulled the trigger though. I am not sure what is soldered in on the RCA connectors as they say, but mine were typical RCA's wired in and I didn't have any problems with my JL Amp I had installed. The housings are about $3 a piece and the pins (which you need 12 of for each housing male and female) run $1 each. So you're looking at $30 just for pins and plastic, not including the RCA's or any wire. I never used any special tools to press them into the housing though. Once they are in, they are in. I think the price is a little steep TBH but having made one before, I understand the time and costs involved, so for the time it saves it, it might be worth it.

Then what channels are the RCAs hooked up to??
One pair to Fronts, the other to rears?
Or both pairs piggybacked to front?

Well it's hard to tell from the photo. I would like to think they wired up both fronts and rears into the harness. Unless they are only tapping into the fronts to allow your amps to split F&R signals without the HU controlling it. I am not sure. Maybe it's built to integrate more simply with their soundstage system.

The RCA's are two for the Left front and two for the Right front, one pair for a amp and one pair for a sub. NO RCA's for rears.
