Your plan sounds good.

I have the Nakamichi CD400 head unit and it works pretty good. Different color schemes for the display and buttons from Orange to green. There is a built in control for the sub, treble, midrange and bass.

Cant go wrong with Diamond :smile: I have two sets of the 5.5 hex with silk dome tweeters in the cabin and the two 10" TDK subs in the boot with a Diamond amp to complete the pkg. You are going to love it .
