Hi temp message displayed on radio

I have had my 09 clubman for 6 months. On my way to work this morning the radio stopped working and a high temp message displayed on the radio screen. This has happened at least 3 times and every time it comes back for a few days and then cuts outs again. The dealer said the radio was fried and that it needed to be replaced. However, that was before it came back to life for the first time. Has anyone heard of this happening before.

I don't think you'll hear from the OP, he joined in Oct '13 and only has one post. Sad to see someone post for help, then never contributes to the community..

Hi,

My earlier post related to my 2010 Mini issue 'HI TEMP message and then OBD not working' is resolved after i changed the battery.

It was so sad that Mini service could not resolve/troubleshoot the issue correctly. They said the audio system is burned and i have to buy & install it (total estimate is close to $1,000).

Then after i spoke to one of my buddies (who also has Mini), i went to local auto zone and replaced the battery. Immediately i didn't notice any change, but about a day everything seems to be normal and working.

Mini Juddering on Acceleration

Hello,

I have 2010 Mini hardtop. I had this issue couple of weeks back, and is now fixed. I just want to post this incase if any one come across this issue.

Issue:
Mini is juddering on acceleration (jerky motion) around 40-50mph. It seems okay at other speeds, or at least not noticeable.

Fix:
I took it to mini dealership, and mimediately they were able to suspect that its ‘spark plugs’ issue. They have replaced the spark plugs and all looks good. It costed my around $400.
