What else does the radio do
My 2009 Justa has a dead radio. It conjured up a high pitched hum for about 10 seconds and then just died. All fuses, including the 10 amp on the back of the head unit are OK.
I'm considering just forgetting it, but the radio clearly runs some other stuff, like the computer display at the bottom of the Speedo, and the door chimes.
I know I won't be able to reset stuff without the radio, but is there anything in the actual operating systems of the car that will be impacted by having a dead radio? A new OEM unit will cost about $350 and I am hesitant to spend it because I don't know what killed this one.
