Aux/Ipod question

I have 2008 r52. With factory Ipod and Aux input. Aux doesn't show up when I got through inputs. I did try hooking up Iphone already playing if that makes a difference. Is the Aux defeated when Ipod adapter is put in?

The factory iPod shouldn't affect the Aux. They plug into different ports at the back of stereo and operate independently. The only suggestion that comes to mind is pull out and reconnect the aux cable in back of the stereo, in case the pins weren't making good contact. If you have small hands, you might be able to accomplish this by reaching around to the back of the head unit (you'll have to feel for a release tab). Otherwise you have to pull the head unit out. The aux connector is at the lower right corner when viewed from the back (connector C).
