New B question

Our 2013 has a nav system and sat radio,will a shorty antenia work with these systems?

You want the 2nd Gen forum, and yes screwing on a shorter antenna will reduce your FM reception as desired.

Use the stock short ant will be ok

My understanding is that the satellite radio/nav antenna is built into the antenna base and that the FM antenna is built into the rear window. Supposedly, the rubber duck antenna is for AM. Running a shorty antenna may reduce AM reception, but my experience has been that you will not notice any difference with a short antenna.

The antenna rod picks up AM/FM and the alarm. The perception of the inevitable loss in fitting a shorter antenna would depend on where you live and how often you travel to the edge of the reception area.

99% of the time it's on sirius sattelite traveling between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas
