Small system Big sound

After 10 years of listening to the non HK factory system I finally got the urge to install something new. Every vehicle I have ever owned had a system. When I purchased my Cooper S in 12/02 I decided eh...it sounds ok. I originally wanted to build my Mini into a light, nimble, quick little street machine, so I did! Then after removing just about everything in the car that was not needed and dropping a lot of weight from the car, I said screw it. Im going to have my cake and eat it too!!

I still have to download pics. most are from my phone but you will get the jist.

system is clean and simple.
Pioneer DEH9400BT HU
Rockford T1675s components in the doors. Yes they fit after many mods
All new speaker cable fed to doors through factory connectors (PITA)
Rockford p300.2 for components
Rockford p300.1 for sub
Rockford P1 8in 4ohm svc sub
one unique sub install
no space lost in the boot. rear seat delete. wanted no intrusion of space

RE pics

I still have to cover the amp rack w carpet and build trim for the amps which will be color matched to the exterior of car. And I have blacked out the grille area of the door speaker grill. I have been slowly color matching all the interior pieces of the car including the pillar covers, clock, overhead light, downtubes, and of course the sub enclosure which substitutes nicely for the glove box!!! Truly up front bass!!!

Not bad at all. I personally wouldn't normally consider a rear-seat-delete to be "no intrusion of space" but I've gotten into my back seat before and that doesn't count as passenger space lol.
