Finally, I've got some pics of the iPod mount I was talking about. Click on the link below. After seeing the pics, let me know if you're interested in getting one. Then I'll see about how much they would be to get produced. Thanks. JR

i am debating on buying the proclip mount. i am asking those who have already bought one if you have any regrets on spending that much money on a piece of plastic?

[QUOTE=Aqualung]I have a 30B iPod, w/ the Panavise 703 mobile phone holder:

It hooks into my AUX input which is in the left pillar, and I use the Belkin car adapter....sounds awesome! I did hear that Alpine announced an iPod option that is due to ship this summer...not sure if it will work w/ the MINI stock head unit or not.[/QUOT

Where did you get this installed? I like the idea that installed the aux input on the left pillar. I'm eager to know.

Just ordered a 40gig Photo with
Life's MINI!
Let's Motor!
engraved on the back. Should be here Monday. Just need to figure out how I want to mount it now, and order an icelink. I do like the AL mount next to the tach. Any plans to make one for a 40 gig photo???

iPod 3rd generation 40gb model. Use a self installed Mini Aux input and the ipod sits in the cup holder.

I worry that where you mounted the ipod that when the backlight is lit at night if you go to look at it that it will bother your night vision. Or it this not a problem?

I have the new 40 Gig model mounted in a one off that i built using a combination of the belkin, the aux input, and a radar dector suction cup bracket and cell phone holder. I will post pics soon.

I wanted something that looked neat and clean, was easy to use (sits right above my right knee and didn't require any permant holes or cutting of the dash.

this is very similar to the mount I've always wanted... would you think about making someone one?, is it screwed in behind the rev, I know a lot of us would love to see a close up and see how it's attached..

i-Pod Mini. I removed the belt clip from the holder that came with it and drilled and polished it to fit the dash mount.

I've got a 4G 20gig iPod. I bought the downtube with the integrated goose-neck phone holder a year ago, so now i use it for my iPod. The iPod connects to the auxiliary input via the Belkin Auto Adapter. I love my setup, it does everything i want it to do and is easy to connect and hide if i need to.

20G 2nd Gen, fully maxed out... using the $40 MINI aux-in and the cupholder. Making kick-*** playlists means not having to use the controls! Had the Blitzsafe interface on the '02, but it was damaged along with everything else in the flood. Also considering a PodPod to keep things from sliding around...

iPod Mini for the MINI here. I don't understand everyone with the monster-gig-Pods. Hello? Less is more? Smaller is better?

How about less is less of your library and more is ALL your library. Thats why the 40gig is coming my way.

40gb here. I'd be very interested... when I get my mini this summer. I'm curious about how it mounts to the steering column. Hopefully you'll be making these big enough for the thicker 40gb models?

4th generation 20 gig here. I just got the Ice Link Plus last week, and love having my entire cd collection at my fingertips. Mounted to the downtube using the ProClip mount. I like the looks of that mount next to the tach, I may eventually go to that.
