Zune skipping while plugged in?
Got my '13 Justa Cooper today and love love love it except that for some reason while I'm charging my Zune via USB in the console, music skips every few seconds. Unplugging it brings it back to normal.
I'm a bit perplexed and don't really like either option of not charging it or dealing with the skipping.
Also a slight change in the 2013s; if anyone cares, they moved the aux/usb inputs to the bottom of the console where there used to be a spot for a little tray. The black box in the upper corner of the bottom of the console is still there for some reason though.

Andrew_C,
Are you plugging it into just USB, or both USB and aux at the same time? If both, there is potentially ground loop noise that could interfere with electronics. You could try a ground loop isolator like this:
Melangell,
Zune never caught on, but have you ever actually tried one? I haven't, but I know that the later versions had good reviews and it has its fans. I just don't see the humor.

Is that a Zune with a hard drive? Is the car moving when it does it? Getting hard drive based music player to play while being jostled is tricky, I don't know how well a Zune would cope with that.
My little red Zune rocks and rolls just fine thank you very much!
They have the same hard drive as most iPods and it plays perfectly fine when it's not plugged in via USB so I know it's not a jostling issue. I actually forgot to bring my USB cable when I was driving it home from the dealership last night and had no problems jamming out until I got home and plugged it in for an in town stroll; then it started skipping a bit.
Yes, I am using both the aux input and the USB so I guess I'll grab that adapter and see if it fixes the issue.

That's a good point. If you wanted the USB only for power, you could instead use a USB power adapter in the cigarette lighter socket.
The adapter I linked has dual USB ports that would charge both, or you could try swapping.
