I have an R53 Mini w/ HK and the iPod adapter. The ipod adapter has long been a problem since it wasn't really compatible with the iPhone. We got the passPort from Scosche ( ) which helped ... until we got Galaxy Nexus phones. I got this cable: which does work with other connectors. If I plugged the passPort into would charge the galaxy nexus, but the Mini headunit won't select it as a source and says "No Magazine".

Of course I basically want to convert the iPod adapter to a charger/line-in. My guess is that there is some 'alive' pin on the dock connector that isn't being tripped. I haven't dug deep on this, but if anyone has wired something like this in the past or has intimate knowledge of the iPod 30pin connector then hopefully I can fool the system into thinking there is an iPod in there all the time (and then replicate 'line-in' functionality).
