Bluetooth handsfree retrofit struggles

I recently bought a 2010 MCS with MFSW buttons, H/K radio but without the Bluetooth module. It also has the Comfort Access. I have been struggling to find a good solution to add bluetooth and MFSW control. Here is what I looked into:

(1) Belkin Aircast - initially, I thought I will be able to solve my issues with a $60 part. However, it is unusable at highway speeds and not great even when I drive around town. R56 is a noisy car!

(2) I am familiar with Parrot from a previous car, so I wrote to Mike (http://www.newministuff.com) asking about the plug and play integration. He responded that "The adaptor is all you normally need to connect the 9000 to the parrot, however I have not used one with HK. I have however used in the earlier hifi upgrade no problem" -- so basically no guaranty that it will work. Also - getting a response from Mike is like pulling teeth, so I need a different option.

A local shop (in the Philly area) quoted $700 - which is too much.

My questions:

(1) for those of you that have Parrot - is it good in a noisy R56?
(2) any other options or good installers in the Philly area?

I might do it myself if I find a good plug and play solution.

Thanks!

there are already a number of threads about this exact subject. Please search.

The parrot unit will cost you between $300-$400 plus the cost of the adapter (parrot sells one as well) and labor cost if you do not do the work you self.

All reports that i have read are good.

I read everything I could find. I am asking mainly because a lot of people used the kit from newministuff. Mike could not guaranty it would work with H/K and Comfort Access. I also did not find specific reference to the sound quality.

There are a number of threads that state it works with the HK system and also that state it sounds good, including one that you are subscribed to https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-2012-r56.html

As for the CA it doe not affect the bluetooth or audio system in any way so there is NO issue there.

See http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop...uctshow&id=729 for why I mentioned Comfort Access (it seems that I am limited to Parrot 9000).
