Cooper S kills android google voice search?
Due to the fact I cant find any info on this I assume it is not a common thing.
I have a Android phone (Commando) and I use google voice search a lot using a personal assistant app similar to Siri. It use to work, I think (at least most of the time) but now if the car is on the microphone logo comes up but it won't register any speach, it comes back with no speach heard, no matter how close I am to the phone or how loud I am yelling at it.
Its been doing this for a while and I have just recently gotten an itch to fix it.
It doesnt seem to be just because its a loud car, I can turn the key to the on (not start) position and the fan on high and it still can hear me when the phone is sitting in the cup holder, but as soon as I start the engine the pick up goes out. (Engine on and fan off is quieter than engine off and fan on HI and it still wont work.)
Turn the car off, voice picks up. Turn the car back on, it quits.
So Im thinking its an electrical intereference or certian frequency coming from the engine? Any ideas?
EDIT: Oh, Ive tried "Vlingo" which uses a different engine than "Google Voice" and it WILL work (although not well) when the car is running. But not google voice.
FYI: '04 MCS with factory H/U + Hi/Lo Converter, MINI AUX in Jack, Amp/Sub in boot.
I do have a pulley, cam, aftermarket horn, and power inverter(usually off).

Thanks guys.
Nick
