Hello, I have an 02 s. I see it has a small silver box behind the switch panel that has 2 ports. One labeled "radio" and has a cable run to it. The other is labeled "iPod". But no cable.
Is this intended to plug directly to my iPod or iPhone?
Where do I obtain the cable?

You need something like that, but it isn't clear whether it's exactly the right part. RealOEM lists item 2 as an adapter cable for Sirius.

What's weird is that the part number I got off the silver box isn't recognized by realoem either.

 

Anyone have a clue where I can get that cable?

Let me warn you, though: I couldn't get mine to work with an iPhone 4. Works fine with a regular disk based iPod, though. My entire interface kit is for sale, since I really wanted to stream Pandora as I don't really own any music (borrowed the iPod to test). My kit is complete, including a perfect genuine white interface cable (not that black one in the link above), owners manual, installation instructions, radio cable, and box. It's the version two, where you don't need to clip your car's factory harness. I'd make a real FS post, but the thing is still in the car, meaning no photos. $60.00 shipped.

 

Crap, I have spotify and need an iPhone friendly interface. I guess I have to cough up the big bucks for a whole new system.
